The RP300 permits to monitor the return path at the head end, indicating the status on how each pilot will be received at this point. For that it has a mode of operation in which all four pilots are visualized on the screen simultaneously. On a typical application, the signal that appears on the screen can be modulated and transmitted back through a free TV channel so that the installer can visualize the signals as they are received on the head end. It also includes all the functions of a regular TV analyzer so that, since it is located on the head end, it can be used to make tests on the signals received.
